Hi Everybody

I am stuck up with the following issue being faced in IPO SE solution.Would appreciate if any body in this forum has come accros the same. The site is having an IPO primary server in 10.0.8.0 subnet with gateway as 10.0.8.19.Recently we had added an 500v2 expansion to the solution and after adding it the Webmanager Solution page shows the added expansion as Unknown. When i open through IPO manager the added expansion is showing online and the SCN trunks between Primary server and Expansion is established.Calls from Expansion system to Primary system users are working fine.
Iam not able to ping the remote expansion from Primary server ,but when i connect an PC with an IP address in the same Subnet 10.0.8.0,i am able to ping the remote expansion.

Do a traceroute from Primary and PC and compare, there must be a reason for why you can't ping it.

What's your subnet mask on Primary and PC?
Seems a bit odd to have gateway on .19 when your servers are at .1, .2

IP route on Primary?

The traceroute from primary gives the first hop as .19 and then gets unresolved until 30 hops. The same when i do it from PC it is like this

Tracing route to 10.80.0.131 over a maximum of 30 hops

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.0.8.19
2 6 ms 6 ms 6 ms 172.16.0.44
3 7 ms 6 ms 6 ms 10.80.0.131

Trace complete.

the Subnet mask in Primary and pc is 255.255.252.0
the IP route table is attached here

If it goes to .19 then it probably something in the router/firewall blocking it.

Why do you have an IP Route 10.80.0.0 / 255.255.255.128 ?
.131 isn't included in that, although it should take the default route.
You already have default routes pointing to 10.8.0.19 so no need in specifying each subnet to the same.

hi the default ip route information 10.80.0.128 ,10.60.0.128 etc are automatically getting populated whenever i add an expansion in different subnet.
As per your saying probably something with firewall.then my doubt is how the PC is able to ping or reach the destination ip.The IPO primary server and My pc are connected to the same switch in the same IP subnet. There is no router inbetween the .19 ip connects to the firewall which in turn connects with external remote sites via VPN tunnel.
Even Iam confused because of this where an PC is able to ping the destination IP but not the LINUX primary server.
