Hi All -
we have a customer wanting unified messaging with exchange. I looked at the KB and it appears IPOSE on a virtual server can be programmed to use EWS. It has been several years since we have set up UMS with exchange via MAPI, but it appears EWS is the route for virtual IPOSE. I just wanted to see if there are any gotchas/caveats or if anyone has this working in an environment similar (virtual server edition with exchange to synchronize phone and outlook for old messages and deleting off outlook = deletes off phone, etc). Any pitfalls/gotchas/advice would be greatly appreciated. We are going onsite to work with the customer using the notes in the knowledgebase, but I know in other cases for more complex integrations that what is listed in the KB is not always what ends up working in reality. Any tips advice or confirmations that someone has this working would be appreciated.
I was also asked by the customer if exchange can email and internal user with their out of office message if another user leaves them a voicemail (seems strange and not a deal breaker, but they have Cisco Call Manager with UMS to exchange and that provides this today).
