I have 14 Avaya IPO 500 phone systems running 8.1 that communicate with each other across VPN's. I have the SCN connections all reporting good and no errors on any of the phone systems. We also have a Voicemail Pro box that all calls come into with auto attendants configured. Calls come into phone system A, are directed to the auto attendant and depending on the option the caller selects, is then sent on to one of the remote phone systems. Everything was working fine up until we had a power outage and the UPS died. Phone system A that handles the incoming calls now has problems getting the calls to the remote phone systems until we reboot. If I look at the system status and view the current calls, I see the call and it looks like the phone system is trying to send the call to all the remote phone systems at the same time and not just the one it is supposed to. The remote phone system never receives the call and it just keeps flashing on the screen for a few seconds at a time as it tries to get the call to it's destination. If we reboot, everything starts working and there are no other problems until the next day. While this is going on, the SCN doesn't report any issues. I am thinking something got damaged in the configuration when it went down hard and wanted to see if anyone had an idea and if this is something that can be fixed or do we need to wipe the SD card and restore?

Hi,

Did you fix this ? I am curious how if yes :)

We got the likely issue with our avaya signalling server and call server..our IP phones tend to disable the dialing of other call server extensions..the fault we found was our local LAN switch. The switch tend to became OFF with power shut down and then ON when power become available..there was no UPS with the LAN router. Due to it's power failure the connection between the signalling server and call server tend to loss..and we have to restart the signalling server every time after the power availability..so check wether you are also having the same issue..wether there is a ROUTER in the connection path which becomes OFF during the 24 hours cycle. ?
