Dear expert,

We would like to set up to turn on/off the call forward function remotely in IPO 500 R11.

By dialing a DDI call from outside to the IPO 500 system, then dial the short code to turn on / off the call forward function.

How to set up in Avaya manager to change the configuration?

You should be able to do this with

FNE

DDI shown are examples so you'll need at least two to turn on or off

CLI is used to authentic the user

The Avaya One-X Lite app uses this method if you have a smart phone.

Actually I can get the dial tone after dial the DDI and activate the FNE service in short code.
But while I dial *01 or *02, it did not cut the dial tone and after I hang up, nothing changed.

I used the SIP trunk for this testing, is it different from the IDAP trunk?

Also when I activated the call forward all calls, I could dial in the FNE service, just got the fast busy tone.
Any idea or reason for it?

Working from home the EC500 has been wonderful except we can't figure out how to transfer a call without me having to listen in to the conversation. If I connect the call..then disconnect, it will disconnect the other two callers.

How is your FNE shortcode setup? Using FNE00 you should get dialtone and be able to dial out or dial shortcodes on the system. I do this on our current system when I work from home.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I createD a shortcode : *27xx/N/FNE Service/0
create a ICR : DDI number/CLI =your mobile number/destination = *2700
Set the mobility as you described earlier : Mobility features enabled, your mobile number entered as you dial it from any phone, enable mobile call control.

I got the dial tone but it would work to turn on/off call forward.

Am I missed something? IPO 500 Essential edition does not support remote FNE service?

I'm not sure if the numbers in my original link are correct. The current manual suggests

FNE 31 = Mobile Call Control This code allows a user called or calling the system to
invoke mobile call control and to then handle and make calls as if they were at their system
extension.

Search for mobile call control in the Knowledgebase

This is more flexible as you can dial in to system and dial any shortcodes as though you were in the office.

You do not need a wildcard shortcode like that. It authenticates you to a specific extension based on the callerID you present when calling in.

Try:
Shortcode: *75
Feature: FNE Service
Telephone#: 31 (if that doesn't work try 00)

Point the ICR at *75. As long as you have the mobile number entered into an extension (including the dial out digit typically 9) you should get dial tone and be able to dial just like you got dial tone on a phone connected directly to the system. Whenever I work remotely I use this so I am not presenting my mobile number but the main company number on calls out.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Dear critchey,

I set up neither FNE 00 or FNE 31, I got the dial tone (heard like ....) but when I dialed a no. (eg. extension 200) it did not cut the dial tone and completed the call function.
