Avaya IP500v2 'To VM' button

Can someone help confirm if a transferred call to an IP1616 phone can be sent to the called users mailbox using the 'To VM' button? Currently DDI and internal calls can be sent to the users mailbox using the 'To VM' button but not transferred calls. Thanks

... calls sent to voicemail go to the mailbox of the call's original destination. So for a transferred call that's not going to be the mailbox of the transfer destination.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Transferred calls you need to press the voicemail button, dial the extension, and hang up.
