Hi,

I'm trying to set-up Embedded VM greeting for the main Huntgroup but have had no luck trying to upload a file or change from options menu via the handset. Has anyone got a tried and tested way of doing this with a night mode button to turn on off? The standard message plays and a customers can leave a message (visual indicator set to flash on off). Don't understand what I have missed, been reading up for hours, need to get this working be Tuesday this week.

Your help is appreciated in advance

Thanks.
Kal

Assume the huntgroup name is "Main" and the number is 200
Create a new group named "NightShift", enable VM, no members and no overflow
Create a button on a users phone wich set the group "Main" in nightservice
Creat a Source number entry named "HMain" and one entry "V200"
Make this user a member of group "Main", it does not have to be enabled for ringing.
Set the group "NightShift" as target for the nightservice in the group "Main"
Create a shortcode like SC=*99 TN=?"Main" Action=VoicemailCollect Line ID=0

Dial *99, press 3 and record a new message
Push the nightshift button and dial 200
You should hear you night message, leave a message and the message light on the users extension will lit
Dial *99 or press the MESSAGE button and listen to the message.
Done, go home and give the partner a hug(or whatever)

Thanks, I'll try this in the morning.

Hi,

I still have a problem, the Greeting for the Hunt-group is still the same "Sorry there is know one to take your message...."
I've tried *99 ..... *17 option 3 but the message does not change. It seems like the ability to change a User message is easy and Hunt-group voice mail greeting is just not as easy. Can anyone assist?

Thanks

Kal.

*99 doesn't exist until you create the code with the correct feature and data entered, it's the exact same procedure as for a user once you have created the code. It can actually be anything that doesn't exist as a code already not just *99 :)

Thanks however....

I've already done that.

Create a shortcode like SC=*99 TN=?"Main" Action=VoicemailCollect Line ID=0

This dosen't work from neither does using the M =Message button via desk phone their seems to be no menu option for Hunt group vm
but it does work for user VM message
Dial *99, press 3 and record a new message

Anyone else?

Sounds like you here an announcement message instead of the voicemail greeting.

Could well be, I'll check the config again in the morning. Thanks to all for your help.
