I have been asked by a call recording company if the Avaya CM uses CMAPI or TSAPI or an AAS server to do IP telphones. I don't know what he is looking for. Can anyone help

CMGal,

Avaya CM can use any method of call recording available out there. Please be more specific.

Avaya CM can have Digital or IP Phones recorded using CMAPI/DMCC recording in conjunction with an Avaya AES (Application Enablement Server = CTI Server).

The following a great link that outlines how Avaya supports CMAPI recording usign TSAPI. In this link it is discussed for the purposes of integrating a VoicePrint Recording solution, but it applies to other recording solutions as well like Nice and Verint, but we work with VoicePrint alot and have found their product to be very feature reach for it's price:
Enjoy,

Thank you,
