Hello everybody!!!

Got issue on doing a test on a 9600 series Avaya IP Phone registered as a SIP client on a FEE PBX/IP such as ASTERISK Server, but nothing works,i'm aware that these series ip phone can supported SIP Protocol and could work with any PBX/IP delivered SIP Protocol ,
Correct or not ?
If someone has a better idea it will help me!!

Please don't tell me "It is not an ASTERIKS FORUM"
Thanks,

OK, those handsets aren't supported in SIP mode on IP Office, as such we don't use them like that, so we can't help really :)

I once had an Avaya (Nortel) Engineer from the Carling campus help me set up a 9630 in SIP mode on an external IP server from VOIP.MS...and the phone worked, but with very basic functions. I flashed it over to my IP Office and it's now in H.323 and performs like a real phone with lots of features. So in the long run, you probably won't get much functionality on the 9600 sets on a 3rd party switch.
