Good Afternoon,

I have been trying to find a solution to my problem for a week or so now.

I am using Avaya IP Office 10.1(8.1) with a voicemail pro client.

Scenario:
A User was moved to a new extension. Old user/extension deleted and new user/extension deleted prior to the switch. I created the user and extension using the same name. The user access the voicemail it gives them options to record greetings and what not but when a call is put to voicemail on that phone it is going to a blank voicemail box. "Your call has been answered by Avaya IP Office, Extension "BLANK"(there is just a pause) is not available. It allows you to leave a voicemail but obviously does not show up for the new user.

I have gone over this process a few times to no avail. Trying different names(making sure there are no spaces) with default configs and I am spinning my wheels. When a different name is created a mailbox for the extension and specific name is generated in VML Pro.

I could not find any similar post on the forum. I would greatly appreciate any advice on why this might be happening or in the very least point in the correct direction.

Again,

Thank you for your time.

The problem may be that in the VM directories on the harddisk of the VM Pro PC the folders and name of the old user will not be deleted when removing a user in Manager.
So when removing a user then also remove the VM files of that user and restart the VM Pro service, then create a new user with the same name and number.

OK Cool.

I will try that. I would love to try that now but restarting VM Pro is not an option during business hours.

I will reply either way to this thread.

Thank you for the quick response.

You can try to remove the old user data without restarting VMPro but I suspect it creates a internal list of all user data on startup, I'm not sure but you could try it.

I deleted the users and extensions from Manager. Proceeded to delete the VM Boxes from file system. I restarted VML Pro Service and recreated the users and extensions in Manager.

I am pleased to say that the issue has been resolved.

I appreciate the help intrigrant.
