Hello,

I was looking for some advice. I have an Ip office 500 v1 with a dieing power supply. What does everyone recommend as the best lowest cost way to move forward? I know avaya doesn't sell replacement parts which is disappointing especially for power supplies and the v1 is no longer being made.

Should I pickup another used v1 or go with the v2?

Im worried that if I go with the v2 my licenses will no longer be valid and the conversion will be troublesome.

I currently have the following licenses:

Voicemail Pro (4 Ports)
SoftConsole (users)
IP500 VCM Channels
IP500 Upgrade Standard to Professional
eBLF

Thanks for your advice!

Kyle

Your system should be able to replace the IP500 V1 form their maintenance stock (You do have a maintenance contract with a competent maintainer don't you?)

if you have to go it alone then you will need to buy an IP500V2 + SD card, the licenses from your old smart card can me swapped to the SD card & the old smart card will need to be returned for destruction (or you will have to pay for the licenses).

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

No we do not have a maintenance contract. Everything is done in house for the phone system.

Replace it with an IP500v2 if possible.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

you still could go to the secondary market and purchase a v1 new
