I am having trouble getting my digital exp module to give me a solid green light reslotting some of my cards. Everything was fine out of the box but I decided to move soom of my tcm cards around in the controller in order to keep my extensions sequential. When I powered everything back up the dig expansion has never stopped flashing green. I have other expansion modules as truck stock I can try to see if its a port on the IPO and I have a demo system I can put the aforementioned Dig exp B on to see if that IPO recognizes it. Please respond as to what you would do, I don't have much experience and if the module is damaged I need to try and get a new one as quickly as possible.

I also tried the dte port maint thru hyperterminal and the AT-X command did not work just replies with poll statistics and then back to the hello.

you must add patch when install on rel 8.1 later and work normal and rel 9.0.2

Flashing green means that the digital exp module can't see the IPO.. This happened me before. Try to change port from digital exp module to every port of IPO expansion port. This may need reboot as well. If it still persist, then your digital exp module is faulty.

The expansion worked initially and only started flashing after I brought everything back up following a shutdown. I am running 9.0.2 build 860. Is the patch specifically for this release?

I have tried every port with no success. I even tried this expansion module on my demo kit in my office and got the same result. I also tried a brand new analog expansion module on the initial IPO controller and did not get a solid green light. What am I missing here? All the research points to firmware but I tried clearing it through the DTE instructions but do not get anything in HyperTerminal after pressing esc for five minutes. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

What version is your IPO?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

on the existing digital expansion module you mentioned a reboot, but did you pull power from the dig 30 module and then put the power cord back in?

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

When you reboot the module then the IPO needs to be rebooted too to be connected again.

I ran into a problem where the customer cooked ... yes, cooked... a module because their telephone / server / storage room went to 85-90 degrees after an air conditoner expired!

What I found was that when I went into Manager -> Control Unit, and looked there were multiple instances of the Expansion Module. I found what expansion port it really was on, deleted the one it THOUGHT it was on previously, then powered down BOTH units... the control unit and expansion unit, fired up the control unit, and when it was up, booted the expansion module.

Everything worked ok then.

It should be noted, however, in my case, since the temperature got so hot it murdered two ports on the back and the unit was moved by an installer, without telling me.

(Love it when they play and then say "YOU have a trouble")

Regards

Yes I rebooted the IPO several times. I finally just had a second dig exp 16 b ordered and it worked. Curiously, the replacement only worked on port 8 of the IPO! Its working now, I won't even try to move it to another port. Thank you to all for all the advise.

in almost every case I've seen, the IPO needs to be running BEFORE the expansion comes up, or they won't connect properly.

Nehhh, at all times the modules needs to be running before the IPO is.
