Hi guys,

I was wondering if there is another way to configure Avaya IP Office than using Avaya IP Office Manager?
Is there a way such as CLI? Web Browser? Serial Port?
I would like to programm some scripts and I am trying to see how can I send them to the IPO.
I would appreciate your thoughts.
Regards.

Dave.

The IPO does not have a CLI. The DTE port is a serial interface but it is used for maintenance not programming. If you are trying to set up scripts like in AACC/Symposium you'll need the VMPro client GUI, but even then I wouldnt call them scripts. What would this Script need to do?

You have to take a look at IPO web SDK (hope to remember the name correctly) under devconnect.avaya.com

The XML(web) SDK is not designed for configuration of IP Office, it only enables you to change some user settings.
Avaya is working on a web interface for programming IPO but to my believe the first thing what will be implemented is only the daily maintenance stuff.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

Thank you guys for your quickly responses.
I heard that in the new Avaya IP Office Server Edition and Avaya IP Office 500 Basic Edition you can have access to a Web Manager, but I think it´s limited, you cannot perform all the programming like in Avaya IP Office Manager.
Have you ever tried this programming method?(Web Manager)

Web APIs have been in the wind for some time now. perhaps they are getting close?

Yes, I think I can do something via API.
Thank you all!
