Good Day All,

We are receiving an Avaya IP office 406 phone system. The system is currently setup with a PRI.

We are a non profit agency and don't need that much use. We are currently using Charter Communications phone service. We have 4 lines. 3 are used for the phones and one for a fax line. We checked into SIP trunking, but unfortunately its not available in our area yet, so we are stuck with the analog lines.

How are we able to use this existing analog service with this phone system? I've seen Analog ATM cards, however, it uses an RJ45 connector which we dont have.

Is there another card to purchase that would let us run regular phone lines from our phone modem to the phone system, or does the built in analog ports handle this already on the phone system. From what i read, those ports were used for fax, postage, etc

Thank you all

You neet the IP400 ATM 4 card which must be installed inside the IP Office either in slot A or B whatever is available and use cat4 or cat 5 patch cables.
At one end cut off the connector and connect the blue and white wires to the trunk.
If you remove the PRI then erase it in the config.
Right now the PRI incoming and outgoing line ID are set to 0, if you add the ATM 4 these lines will also have the same line IDs.
To disable the PRI you can either set the number of channels to 0 or give the line IDs a different number.

If you are not familiar with programming IP Office then contact a reseller who is, if you are familiar with programming the IP Office but you don't know how to setup trunks then we can help you with that.

Thank You for the reply. I appreciate it.

On the phone modem end - its using and RJ11 connection into the modem. on the other end, I would just use the blue/white wires into the rj45 and plug in to the ATM card? or am I still looking at the wrong card?

Not the wrong card, you cna even use a rj11 to rj11 two wire phone cable to the ATM card of IP Office
