hello fellas, i been installed a Windows 8 on my PC, but i need to install IP agent for test issues but is not compatible any one have the same problem???

You need to look at one-X Agent software. You will need a license in the PBX for it. IP Agent software is not compatible with Win 7 / Win 8

tanks tolson we already have one x agent licences and that runs good on W8, but there are users that use Ip agent and i needed to install because i made test from my pc

You do not have a choice. When those users migrate to Win 7 / Win 8 they must upgrade. As for you testing IP Agent on a Win 8 machine, do not bother becasue it does not work. If you must test / troubleshoot user issues then I would suggest you get a second machine with XP on it.

Sorry to be a downer on this but we have already been there, the old application will not function with the newer operating systems and Avaya has no plan to make it so. I wish they would because I find IP Softphone / Agent to be much better than the one-X series of applications.

You can run a Windows XP virtual machine (assuming you are running Windows 8 Pro/Ent) and run IP Agent from there for testing. No guarantee the audio will work correctly for PC calls.

I agree with Tolson - we went through that as well and migrated to One-X. We had quite a few that did not like the change, but after they got used to it they were fine.
