I have managed to break the ARS on our Avaya Index 9, incoming calls to DDI's are mapped to extensions using Pilot numbers, this is working fine for digital extensions starting 3xx but not for analogue extensions starting 2xx? DDI range is 01204 XXX xxx.

Its been a long time since I've worked on an Index!!!!

Have you made any changes to the ARS tables?

Also check to make sure you do not have an entry in the directory of 2. If you have this will stop you dialling any exts starting with 2xx.

To check this, from the main menu select option 8 Directory and then option 1 directory list. This will list the directory. Look for a entry like:

2 - User
200 - Fax 1/2/00
201 - Modem 1/2/01

Hope this helps!

Glimma

I think I may have deleted an ARS sring, is there something an entry needed to route the calls? Why would the 3xx extensions still work? No entry for 2, its not allocated to anything.
Thanks

Is your DDI range is 01204 xxx 200-399?

Also can you paste a copy of the ARS entry for your exts in 3xx range?

01204 377 500-549
Extensions : 2xx, 3xx, 5xx
