When user is trying to page, there is a delay for 7-10 seconds to get a dial-tone. Currently group-page have 29 members and all are digital phones (1408/1416).

our Avaya Core CM is on 10.2. Please suggest, how can we fix the delay issue for group-page.

Make the group smaller or consider overhead paging. If phones in the group are close to each other, consider removing some from the group as they can "hear" the page from the adjoining phone. When you group page, CM has to allocate resources for each phone before you will receive DT to proceed.

On the Group Paging form, there is the Zip Tone Time (secs) field. Avaya recommends 7 seconds or more to ensure all sets are connected. You can set that to a minimum of 2 seconds, just be aware that it may be possible that not every phone will connect and activate the speaker phone.
