Avaya G3siV12 and Adtran

Hello,

I'm currently switching MPLS service providers and I have an old Avaya G3siV12 and I'm needing to connect an Adtran device to it. The Adtran has a PRI port that I need to connect my Avaya switch too. Where does the Adtran PRI port connect too on the Avaya switch? Or does it connect directly to the smartjack that the Avaya switch is connected too? I've never connected an Adtran device to an Avaya so I'm needing some input. Thanks in advance for the help.

you connect it to the csu on the avaya switch such as an integrated csu etc....

Hi Joe2938,

Thank you for your response. This leads me to my next question, I was looking at that back of the cabinet and see two CSU ports with a data line plugged in to each network port. Do I just need to remove one to attach the Adtran or do I need to have another CSU installed? I'm not to familiar with this Avaya so I apologize for any dumb questions ahead of time..

you need an integrated csu on the back of the pbx for the position number that your ds1 interface card is in so if a carrier position 7 on the back of the a carrier position 7 install an integrated csu and plug from there to the smart jack

Thanks joe2938 for the help. I had to have an adtran with two PRI ports. Also, do you or does anyone know how to get the 411 and 911 calls to work after moving over to the Adtran device? I'm sure it's something that I need to setup in ARS Analysis but I'm not sure what the settings need to be. Thanks in advance for the help.
