Good Morning

I am currently testing Avaya flair at my company and i cannot set conference to work. I managed to drag 2 different calls int he same 'spotlight' but merge is greyed out, only transfer is activated.

There is a setting ' Conference server' , does that have something to do with it? How should that be set please?

Regards

IP Office 8.1 version does not support conference.

What a bummer....

8.2 or 9.0 maybe, these are to be released at any time in the future

I have learned as a small kid that if someone asks you a question you don't understand to say "YES thank you" so:

Yes thank you

sry about that

what i have asked is, if it is only on the windows client that conference won't work on version 8.1, or even on IOS.

Thanks and regards

Unfortunately the release of Flare on the IPO is pretty crippled. the video doesn't work either. If its something that your customer really wants, its a hang in there situation until they fix it!

For now video is not of that importance for me. The most important for me is voice conference between more than 2 participants. Is there a way to be done on a machine that is not the Avaya Desktop Video Device?

Thanks

Hi

I have upgraded PABX and flare to feature pack 1 and video calling worked. Now i need the conferencing. From what i read, a conference server is needed. Am i right? Can this be set on the UCM? and if yes how?

Thanks

Toni,
Voice of Video Conference?

Video conference will not work using flare and it won't work in within a year at least. Swap the Avaya IP office for an Avaya CM Aura and then it will. For Video Conference use Scopia from Radvision.

Voice conference will but the best things is to create a "conference meet me" shortcode but you need VMPro for it to work.

thanks for your info ... i'm surprised that it has a year to work as video conferencing is in publicity of avaya flare... if i'm not mistaken it tis even in the feature pack documentation.

we cant switch from IP office from another platform as all our systems are on IP office... does scopia work on IP office?

Thanks

Yes, Avaya owns Radvision now :)
