working on this clients Phone system never really dealt with a Avaya system or even seen... but regardless been able to work on it till now I was finally able to set up voicemail but now the calls don't go to voicemail they just stay ringing. don't know if this makes any difference or not but the phone is linked to another ext. so they both receive calls at the same time but i just want the VM to be on one phone.

if anyone could help that be great (ik im not that far from the answer so if i end up figuring before anyone help, ill post it.)

Do you have a coverage path set up to your voicemail platform? If so, you need to make sure the station is configured with that coverage path.

im not sure if that's done or not how could i check?

I would start by issuing the 'list hunt-group' command and look for one that is named something like 'Messaging' or 'voicemail' or somethin similar. Pay attention to that hunt group number. Then issue the 'list coverage-path' command and look for one that has that hunt group as the first point of coverage. Once you find that, issue the 'change station xxxx' command and on page one you'll find a field named 'Coverage Path 1'. Here you will want to put the coverage path number you found in the previous step.
Save this and test.

well now i messed somehow took off line 1 as the main now it doesnt even want to ring, you can see the call incoming though. just stuck in intercom i guess.
HELP lol
