Does anyone knows how can I program an extension in the Avaya Definity system so I can send a specific caller ID number? I already called the phone company and asked tthem to give me control so the PBX can send the caller ID. I have a PRI for trunking.
Than you in advance.

So you are in the wrong forum for this question , but i will indulge you ... you need to populate the unknown numbering table , there are two tables the "public unknown numbering" & the "private unknown numbering" depending on how your trunk is set up depends on the associated table , im willing to bet that it is public( to confirm have a look at page 2 of the trunk group , it will say private or public in the numbering format entry).... so lets say your station is 5 digits long and its number is 12345..... the command would be...."change public 5 ext 12345" , you then have to populate that table with a specific entry for your station , the CPN will be the number you want to send to network , have a search in the Avaya:CM/Aura(definity) forum if you want to see examples.

Below is a link to something that pretty much covers what you need , but there are many many examples you can search for.

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.

Thank you. It still doesn't work but it may be the service provider or I am missing something. Do you provide tech support? If yes please call me at 310-345-4024. Thank you.

If you run the command " list trace station xxxxx" where xxxxx = your station number , you need to be in advanced emulation not gedi to do this , in that trace you will see what number you are sending to network , if you are unsure how to read it post the trace results.
