Hi,

I have taken over an avaya definity phone system. I have a question about an external ringer. The last admin was using valcom ringers. I noticed one of our phones has an analog phone and digital phone configured with the ringer. Do I need to use a bridge function? What I would like to do is keep the digital phone and just have the phone and external ring at the same time.

Thank you for your input, I come from the cisco ip world.

Are you looking to just have the Analog phone ring on the digital set ?
If so, Yes that would just involve a bridged appearance on the digital set but since it is analog set you need to use the abrdg-appr not the brdg-appr.

thanks for the reply.
What I currently have a is a digital phone in a loud area and they cannot hear it ring.
I need to add the volcom ringer. I assume this needs to be tied to an anolog port.
So to make the ringer sound when ext 8200 is called I would do abrdg-appr on the ext for the ringer?

Would these steps be correct?
