I have an Avaya Defender i'm trying to locate the IP address for. I'm not to familar with the device, but i cann access the unit remotely. How do i find the IP address? What is the command? Please Advise.

Thanks

You mean an older Definity system? list ip-interface might show you what IP boards you have in there. A CLAN board can be setup to allow terminal access for administration. Elaborate :)

My system doesn't have the Li IP- command option.

Then maybe you don't have any IP interfaces. In which case, its a modem dialup or console connection.

List config all? Maybe paste what boards you have here and we could tell you - you still need usernames and passwords though.

Here you go

modem connection would be on the 25th pair on the aux cable

If we install a C-LAN board, will that allow IP access?

the audix would have to have an ethernet card installed and yes to your question if you have one.

Antaew, it depends on the release of software you are running. IP first came out in R7, for some limited things.
It really started to "work" for SAT access via CLAN cards in Release 9. post your "list config soft" screen info.
The answer is, maybe, maybe not.
