I have a customer who is a call centre and recieves calls from several countries. They have purchased several DDI ranges, one for each country they look after. They have extension numbers within each DDI range that are not programmed or attached to any object on the Avaya.

They would like to know if it is possible to route calls that have called a NON-configured DDI to a certain extension number depending on the DDI range that was rung.

so for example, if we have two ddi ranges as the following:
020 78797000 - 020 78798000
01273 309000 - 0127330999

If someone calls a NON configured DDI in range 1 it goes to extension XXXX
if someone calls a NON configured DDI in range 2, it goes to extension YYYY

My first thought was to use the incoming call handling treatment page but not sure this would work as I would have to specify every live extension?

any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Im guessing the only thing you could do is have an entry for every ddi in the range that they want as assigned matching all the digits to the correct destination.

Then for unconfigured have two entries that are that are some thing like.

public-ntwrk 9 23456 all 0000 =XXXX
public-ntwrk 9 12345 all 1111 =YYYY

Yes that was my initial thoughts and was hoping to avoid that as they have quite a large DDI range.
Doesn't look like there is an easy way to do this.
thanks for coming back to me anyway....

nah, just set a Incoming call route for all (say) 6 digit presentation to XXXX and then set more specific route for the live DDI's

public-ntwrk 6 7XXXXX all 2300 <--- VDN for handling unenabled DDI
public-ntwrk 6 797001 all 2345 <--- live VDN
public-ntwrk 6 797002 all 2346 <--- live VDN
etc

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

That`s what i said every ddi that needs to hit a live destination will have to have a individual entry , the others will hit

public-ntwrk 9 23456 all 0000 =XXXX
public-ntwrk 9 12345 all 1111 =YYYY

as he has two different carriers :)
