We received the Conferencing Center application for free when we purchased our IP Office 406. It's value, so far, has not exceeded the price.

The major problem we are having is that the conference calls get hung and they are eternally stuck in music-on-hold. Sometimes a reboot fixes the problem, other times it does not. As of now we are in the "not" phase and I cannot get it working.

Has anyone else seen these kinds of problems and can offer any help? Also, can someome provide some direction as to where you can download updates on Avaya's site?

Windows 2000 Server SP4
IP Office Build 2.1(27)
Conferencing software version 2.1.2

Just curious, how are you routing the calls into the conference center? If through VMPro, how is the call flow setup?

I'm running the conference center on a demo system and so far have not had any issues with it.

With VMPro, once you dial into our voicemail system, simple local telephone number, dialing a 7 gets you to the conferencing system by way of an an assisted transfer to a mailbox. The mailbox is a short code entry in the IP Office Manager application for voicemail collect.

Is this what you are looking for? I inherited this system 3 months ago and am still getting my feet wet.

If you're using the "conference center" why not use the "conference center" module instead of an assisted transfer.

If you don't have the actual "Conference Center" which uses the license (basically look in your licenses to see if you have "conference center" in there or not).

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have a 3.0 doing the same thing. I am going out tomorrow to troubleshoot.

I've been having the same problems and basically have been told by vendor to wait for the next 3.0 patch, whenever that comes out. It's just not been reliable software so far.

if VM is transfering to another mailbox to access conferincing as described then I think your VM programming needs seriously looking at

you incomming menu should end either with a goto action to a new startpoint (if you want to re use existing VM startpoints), a transfer to a shortcode that performs cConferenceMeetMe (if you do not have the full conference server running) or a Conference Center action.

I don't know about the original post, but I am using Conferencing Center 3.0, and it was working just fine. I have the Conferencing center Module with it's default actions. When a party enters in they are prompted for their conf ID and password, they are then prompted for thier name, then they get eternal music on hold. This happens to all parties. After a reboot is seems to have cleared.

TivoNut, I looked at the 3.0 maintenance release Technical bulletin 39 for the 3.0 patch that is due soon, and I did not see a fix for this.

The software has been very intermittent for me. I've had the same problems, where callers sit on hold and never get put in the conference. A reboot clears it, but the problem comes back. Also, you're lucky to get MOH, my MOH isn't working in conference center, and I've verified it's working outside of conference center.

I finally gave up on Conference Center, it's so flaky. I built some Conference Meet Me short codes that can be accessed via assisted transfers in VMPro, but ran into a 16 user limit. 17th user can't join any conference. I'm trying to get it resolved, but no luck yet.
