Just a general question:
I am running an IP500v2 with an UCM at 9.1.6 and am connecting Avaya Communicator clients (2.0.3.40) as remote workers. On the surface it all looks good i.e. I can register and make/receive audio/video calls; IM working and presence is up and running. I just want to nail down the ports opened on the firewall.
Avaya docs (9.1 December 2014) suggest that TCP port 8069 is required for contact info, call logs and presence. TCP 5222 for XMPP functions (including IM, presence and contact info
I have run wireshark while conducting my tests and I have yet to see TCP 8069 and TCP 5222 in action yet. All ports to/from the 1XP seem to be restricted to TCP port 9443.
Can anyone confirm that TCP 8069 and 5222 are required for Avaya Communicator on Windows?
