Hi, I have a client who wants to ring a group of extensions (or DIDs) and leave a message.

Is there anyway to setup a ring group that goes straight to voicemail? And if there aren't enough available trunks to call DIDs, that it queues up the calls and goes through the list.

Thanks.

Not sure what you are needing but yes you can have a number (xxyy) have a coverage path with a coverage answer group. Then as a second point of coverage your hunt group for Audix.

This almost sounds like you are needing a hunt group with night service. I am guessing that you need this to be answered by a group of people until X:00 and then go to voice mail? Also if their is not enough DIDs available then you can also add a queue.

Am I in the right neighborhood here or am I completely off what you are trying to do?

Perhaps the client is looking to send a message to multiple mailboxes via a mailing list in Audix?

Yes you are in the neighborhood. It is for a hospital, they want to use it for kind of crisis and code notifications in a busy environment. So they want to be able to call either a feature code or a ring group and leave a voicemail for all users in the group.

It sounds like you need to do what Susan has described then and set up mailing list in Audix. Also you may want to look into doing a broadcast message out of Audix depending if you want everyone that has a mailbox notified or just certain groups.

What Audix are we talking about here?
