Hi, I have a client who wants to ring a group of extensions (or DIDs) and send a notification.

Is there anyway to setup a feature access code to call out to a preprogrammed list of numbers and play a recording? And if there aren't enough available trunks to call DIDs, that it queues up the calls and goes through the list. Similar to the wake up call feature.

It is for a hospital notification system in case of emergencies.

Ideally if you could press a button on a phone and declare an emergency notfication.

Thanks.

try group-page group with extensions

you call the group-page extension and announce over everyones speaker.

Thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately we need it to play a recording, in a hospital emergency situation you don't want it to be heard by the public.

Perhaps a third party outbound dialing program/system?

Something like the product Susan has given you is what all state owned hospitals here in LA. are now on. I was asked to come up with a solution like your, and the third party applications were just simply the "Best" method of getting a message out.

They are capable of doing far more than our phone system will do, interfacing with alphanumeric pagers, cell phones, Exchange, you name it.

Thank you all for the help. I appreciate it. I am no evaluating and testing the application Susan linked to.

So it seems this application can only blast to 5 extensions at the most. Are there any other apps you are aware of that can handle a larger quantity?

how many telephones are we talking about here to blast to? You may try meeting exchange express, however it will require manual intervention, on the initiator, and a pre-recorded message.

Actually something like this is more of what I had in mind. Also lookup GETS..
