Avaya CMS 16.2, modem config for Solaris 10

I am installing a CMS system and i am stuck at the modem config part of cms installation. I didnt get the modem with the system so i bought a us robotics 56k fax modem model 5631, is this compatible with solaris,if not which modem should i buy, if yes how can i configure this modem, i tried the steps in the manual and everything went well but when we dial the line to test its giving me busy tone. How to know its configured right or please tell me how to configure this modem or any USB modem..

Usually the USRobotics modems work, no experience with this model, but older ones like the sportster always worked.
Likely is that your port has not been setup for modem yet.

I just got a CMS R16.2. No modem came with it. It has a NIU that converts serial to IP so you can use your SAL server.
