We had an upgrade not too far back on our Avaya system, and a few things are different than before, and I am not clear what to change to put it back to how it was… one being our Site Data on the station forms… it now randomly erases itself… especially if a port is not used, for an undetermined length of time… This data was never erased in the past, only after the upgrade… any ideas if this can be corrected… we have a 911 system so as you can imagine this is pretty worrisome! Any help great appreciated!

Hardware platform?
Definity / CM software version / service pack?

I think this is the info you need... i apologize if not... and thank you for your help!

Site data with PSA and TTI has never been reliable due to the data being tied
to the station UID and not the Port location. Site data can move or disappear
when normal station administration activity is done.

SA8582 - PSA Location and Display Enhancements
The (SA8582) PSA Location and Display Enhancements green feature enhances the
existing PSA feature. The PSA feature, in general terms, allows a user to
associate a compatible terminal to the user's station-translated preferences and
permissions. PSA makes it convenient for users to use a pool of phones at
different times and locations.
This feature adds three enhancements to the present PSA feature. First, new
terminal display messages and a special dial tone will be added so that the
status of a PSA station (associated or disassociated) can be readily identified
at the terminal. Second, a new port-location form will allow endpoint
information to be associated with individual ports. This helps to alleviate the
problem of incorrect information (e.g., room number from the last PSA-associated
station's record) appearing on an attendant's display when a PSA-disassociated
stations calls in a critical situation. Finally, this feature adds the
capability of setting the COR for a PSA-disassociated stations on a per-port
basis. This adds considerable flexibility to the present system where all
PSA-disassociated stations share a single COR.

PSA/TTI port-location

The site data is not reliable. Software should always associate site data with
the port. It does not work that way. site data stays with the station internal
software.
If you change a station from digital with the digital port site data, then
change the station to analog, the site data does not switch from the digital
port to the analog port.

tti / psa and swapping ports for stations, is another reason that the software
is not reliable.

In cm5 there is a new feature that may work for you:

Good morning.... Thank you so much... Just knowing that it does happen and that i am not just "loco" is a big relief.... I will try the parameters you mentioned above.... I will let you know if that seems to help also...

Thank you for responding to both of my threads! I also wanted to mention that this problem as well as the "disabled" ports appear to have started after the last major upgrade we had... Which leads me to believe it may be an on/off type of parameter... I just appreciate all of your help !!!!!
