We have a CM 5.2.1, S8720 server pair
- SNMP Master Agent is up and running
- SNMP Agents v2c enabled, community is set
- on firewall, snmp and snmptraps ports are enabled

The problem is that, when I try a snmpwalk from the server (from shell) it works, but it doesn answers if try it from any other server even from the same subnet.

Already rebooted, settings removed and reset, but still doesn't work. The ESS with the same settings reachable with snmp.

Any idea what to check?

would appreciate any help

When you try running that command what are you using for an IP address? The web page settings only apply to the Ethernet interface that is defined on that CM server as Customer LAN. So if you try walking a server using any other interface the firewall rules for those other interfaces will stop you.

I am trying the snmpwalk to the customer LAN interface.
When I try it from the CM server itself, from shell, it works but when I try it from any other server in the same subnet, it doesn't.

Thanks, your idea was good. I thought i am trying the address of customer LAN, but it was the control network address (with only one digit difference).

So correct, with customer LAN it works now!
Great, thanks!
