Hi,

Have inherited a G430/S8300D v4 Avaya with an EM200 module.

I can access the server admin and can telnet and ssh .It looks like craft user is setup with ASG coz its giving a challenge and I need to enter a response.
The previous guy never left any documentation and they have failed to contact him in over a year now.

I just need help on how to reset either the craft or cust user. I have tried default passwords like crftpw, crftpw1, root01, cust01 to no avail.

Is there a way I can reset these credentials? Or is it possible to get an ASG generator? Though am not certain any of the default passwords will work.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you are sure that the IP address belongs to CM not to GW you can also check dadmin/dadmin01 - this is avaya buissness partner account and usually is set up to dadmin01.

If the system is connected to your corporate lan and you are not sure about IP address of CM you can do that via consol port on s8300D card.

Br,

Thanks. Will try that.
Am sure thats the CM IP becoz the phones have it as the server address. unless the GW IP can also be the server address for the phones????

The service port connection is supposed to be set to 192.13.11.6/30 but cant ping it? Do i need a cross cable?

That would be 192.168.11.13.6 not 192.13.11.6, and that is normally only used during setup, but can be used for support access.
There should be a local LAN IP as well, just sniff it with wireshark or see what the IP-phones are setup to use,it's usually one IP up or down.
Can you get to the backend web-page? should be something like This should have an option to maintain users. This webpage may carry any of the default passwords (often forgotten about)
The ASG challenge is a setting on an accounts settings form, craft usually is not set up for you to use.
Your Avaya BP that installed the system, should be able to help you load a blank or your original password file,
or login with their dadmin account, so they can change your own account.
If everything else fails, open a ticket at: go through the paperwork, and have Avaya reset is (at a cost).
