Avaya CM R3 replace hardware failure

Hi all,

Is it possible to migrate one licence to another system from CM R3?

I have one S8500 and 2 G650 with licence. But if the S8500 or the G650 crash, is it possible to replace the broken hardware by new or refurbished one without make any change to licensing?

The license is married to the serial number of the "Golden IPSI" so as long as that IPSI is not damaged then you should be able to reuse the license file. However, if the IPSI is toast you'll simply have to change the serial number of the license file to that of the replacement IPSI.

The change of serial number has to be made directly into the file or by regenerate the lic file?
