I have an Avaya CM 6.3 and trying to implement call queueing on a hunt group. Currently, I have a hunt group setup as circular and it is functioning how I would like it to, except I would like to be able to have the call queued with a generic announcement rather than it just ringing. I see if I change the hunt type to UCD, I get the option to enable queuing and my COR is set to allow hunting. Does something else need to be configured for this to work? I’m not currently using announcements or vectoring in my system.

I guess you'd better start :)

Make a VDN point to a vector. The vector will play announcement 1234 and then queue to split X where X is the hunt group number

You don't need a VDN or a Vector for this:
In the Hunt-Group on Page 2 there is a field named "First Announcement Extension". This is where you put the extension of your music announcement (Announcement-Type: integ-mus). In the second field, named "Delay (sec") you enter a "1". If somebody now calls the hunt group, then CM tries to reach a free member. If nobody is available you will hear the music announcement while queued.

If you may have a hunt group with a greeting announcement (maybe in the future) you can set the Delay to 0 secs. This will play the announcement before CM tries to reach a free member. The greeting announcement must not have the type of "integ-mus".

If you need both, a greeting and a music on hold, you have to create a VDN with a Vector (greeting) which routes to the hunt group with the 1 second dealy music-announcement.

HuppiFluppi (love the name) - This is exactly how I was trying to do it. The issue I ran into is I don't have a board dedicated for integrated-music. I was trying to figure out if I could configure a virtual card or if it's something I need to purchase?

Another option is, I do have an analog card that has a MOH 8000 attached to it. I tried to point my announcement to that port, but had no success. This may be getting more into Vectors...

Thanks for all the feedback!

If you have a Media Gateway (G430/G450) which must be there, because otherwise you couldn't get any phones registered, you can "insert" the "gateway-announcements" on V9 by executing "change media-gateway x" (where X is the Number of any Media Gateway) and writing this into the V9 slot (V9 is virtual).
After you've done this you have to enable the new Announcement-Board by executing "enable announcement-board Xv9" (where X is again the Number of the Media Gateway).
Now there is a new Announcement-Board available on your system. If you want to upload WAV files they have to be in a specific format (8kHz 8bits Mono with µLaw or aLaw CCITT). You have to enable filetransfer ("enable filex") on the Board V9 and upload the WAV file via FTP to the IP of the Media Gateway (tell me if you need more info for this).
Then create the announcement in the CM (add anouncement xxxxxxx) and set the name to the File-Name which you have uploaded, without the .WAV ending.
