I have 2 announcements, 1 day & 1 night. I have 10 locations with 10 different DID #'s. I want to point all 10 DID #'s to a vector then have each vector give a day & night option. Day gets options to: enter 5 digits & call x-fers tot hat extension, dial 2 for dial by name, or dial 0 to route to an admin. Night only routes to a voicemail where the admin checks messages periodically.

Day = x63500
Night = 63515

I changed the name on both and now when dialing either of these numbers, nothing happens - only dead air. Before I was able to dial either 63500 or 63515 and I could hear the options presented but after renaming both, I hear nothing but dead air after renaming both. I simply changed the name by typing in CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 63500 & CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 63515 and simply renaming both. I did not make any other changes anywhere and now I cannot hear the previously recorded greeting for x63500 & 63515 - why? Is there something I'm missing or forgetting to check or enable?

AvayaTier3 - thanks for your help so far, I really appreciate it. I've looked at the commands above and when I login to GEDI and type in LIST DIRECTORY / ANNC Board 001V9 I get an error stating "annc is an invalid identifier".

It's stating " Enter "board" source board location: {cabinet91-64);carrier(A-E);slot(slot#), OR [gateway(1-250)};V9 {directory path name}, {'schedule'}

I wish I could do a desktop screen share with you to show you first hand. My system does not like that command LIST DIRECTORY / ANNC BOARD so I'm perplexed as to how to find the list of .wav files on this system. are there any other commands to try? I can post the results

Thanks again for all of your help!

Don't use GEDI
Use advanced TAB, then emulation
"/annc" has no space after "/"

/annc is the annc folder directly under / which is "root"

/ is where firmware updates are staged
/annc is where .wav files are stored.

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"
