I just installed a bcm50 6.0 on Friday and in testing I found several issues.
1 Last no redial does not work(Only the first 3 digits dial)
2. When selecting and anaolg line it takes 2 or 3 try's before the line is selected(Either manualy or through the line pool)
3, digital sets on the 8x16 ports freeze. (they have display but do not respon imediately and will also freeze when programming via teleset from these ports)
Due to time I had to leave Friday night but will return Monday .Any Ideals?
Thanks in advance

At a quick glance...
-First off check the Alarms

-Replace 8X16 maybe, I gather the 8 is the analog lines you are using or are you using the ones (4) on the BCM itself?

-Check any dip switches settings page 29:

-Look at adding an MBM same guide/area

And if you did not do a level 1 reset maybe do one after you make a backup in case corruption.
As for level 2 depends if the R6 Image patch is installed, check the list in admin tab.

Hi curly
I will check that 8x16
The redial issue occurs system wide
The line delayed pick-up happens on the co.s that reside on the bcm.
I saw a note on a software patch for 6.0 about a fix for the redial issue. have you seen this in the feild. I might be jumping ahead though
Will also do restart
Thanks

I have not but based on the new intel looks like corruption on the BCM.
Is the BCM new?

No
I Purchased it as vendor refurbished.
I have never run into a corrupted system. would a Level 1 reset take care of this?
Thanks

It might.
I have never ran into this either.

another thought if still an issue is another hard drive.

Also check Monitor and see if the CPU Usage is ok.

Hi Curly
I swapped out the 8x16 and had the same results. Another symptom was that the Night service (Set to manual) would not revert back to normal rining even though the screen indicated normal ringing. I finally got a hold of the patches and loaded them yesterday. They fixed all issues.
1. Last number redial.
2. Digital sets freezing
3. Slow line select (Auto and manual)
4. Night service issue
Funny how this was all software related
Thanks again for your help and thanks to Dana at Numberonetelcom
