Avaya app that allows to paste a phone number and have my deskphone place the call

In the (veeery) ancient days of Phone Manager app, it would be possible to select/highlight a phone number and have Phone Manager pass the number to the deskphone that would then make the outbound call.
Our customer is looking for an app that can either do that or maybe allow them to:
- copy the phone number from outlook/html page
- paste it in the Avaya app
- have the Avaya app send the number to the deskphone
- have the deskphone make the outbound call to the pasted phone number
- it would be cool if the last couple of steps were seamless ;-)

Is there such an app from Avaya?
If not, anything 3rd party?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

There also an click to dial plug for web browsers (Chrome?) and I'm sure something for Outlook. I'll look them up when I have a minute.

I'm sure Workplace needs Preferred Edition and one of the user licenses.

In Workplace settings - desktop integration - Outlook addin

In Chrome - extensions - Avaya browser extensions (I have this turned off as it can conflict with other numbers onscreen)

Have a look at Youtube for some videos.

Incidentally it doesn't need a server unlike One-X portal

Which release of IP Office do you have as there are some differences in what is supported.

Workplace can do this. I am also curious if this and EC500 dialing is possible with workplace without Preferred Edition and Power User/Office Worker/Softphone License

The workplace app allows you to do this
I'm sorry, but what exactly does the Workplace app on the PC allows me to do?
Does it work as a CTI of my deskphone? Like old PhoneManager used to?
If so, how?
TIA
Cheers

EDIT: Answering to myself and hopefully helping someone else who googles the same question and ends up here.
Workplace client does have a deskphone mode. It just remains a doubt in my mind if it needs any specific user license for that.
This is a Server Edition customer, and they only have basic user licenses. I'm afraid it won't work but I will surely try that tomorrow morning and let you all know how it went.

This is a Server Edition.
IIRC on a Server Edition the licensing works a bit different than on a IP500. For starters, I don't think there is a Preferred Edition for a Server Edition lol.

Ok, but then Workplace would work as a SIP extension. Right? Because that's not what I need and I most definitely don't have licenses for doing that.
Answered to myself in the post above.

I don't think it would work without at least an office worker.
Hence why I am asking here for options.

In the Workplace app you can select to place and receive calls using your desk phone - and it controls the phone like PhoneManager did.

If you have a CRM or similar that uses "tel:" style links for phone numbers they can automatically open up in Workplace pre-filled for dialing. I use Google Workspace for mail and can click phone numbers in my contacts and they go to Workplace.

Third party options are around and usually use TAPI. Workplace needs an Office Worker or Power User license on Server Edition, but 1st Party TAPI aka CTI Link Lite doesn't (3rd party TAPI aka CTI Link Pro where a server is in the middle does however).

Yes, Workplace is sort of a replacement for Phone Manager. It might be worthwhile getting a trial licence to try it for real.

BTW there's also an app for IoS and Android.

If you have server edition you could use One-X portal but in my experience it is much more complex app that seems to use the full screen.
