I want to have remote workers using Avaya Communicator for Windows and Avaya One-X Mobile applications to register via the SBC.

The SBC is configured and users can register via the SBC.

Calls can be made and will connect but there is no media. I have captured a Wireshark trace from the SBC on all interfaces, where I could see RTP between the IPO and SBC but not between SBC and the Firewall.

Due to the design of the network the public IP for the remote workers has to pass through a firewall and the SBC interface exists in a DMZ setup on the firewall.

I have asked the I.T to open/allow the required ports and they have informed me that this has been completed. However I am still not getting speech path? Gamma are the SIP providers.

Any ideas???

Remote workers on a SBC require the remote worker to send audio first before the SBC knows how to send audio back to it.

I would look at the c= line in the SDP of the message to your remote worker that should tell it to send audio to the public interface of the SBC to confirm it is telling the remote worker to send audio to the right place. Then wireshark from your Windows Communicator to see where it's sending those packets.

Hi Kyle555, I shall give this some investigation and see what I come up with? Many thanks for your prompt reply and suggestions. Much appreciated. I will get back to you.
