Avaya 9641G Web Apps: Weather, World Clock How does it Work?

Hey,

I'm a beginner with the Web Applications...Are they available in R9.1 ?

When I want to get the Weather Informations I get the Message: "Could not access internet service"

Wich settings i must set in the 46xxsettings.txt to get the Weather Informations or the World Clock.

Hope anybody can show me how to use the Apps.

The weather app doesn't have anything to do with the PBX, by the sound of the error message I wonder if the phones have access to internet?

Yes I checked other posts, but they are not helpful I think.

The Phones have Access to the Internet.

It's my first time that I must use the Apps.

All I want is a little Help, how to use these Apps. Because i never used it before.

Do you need a proxy for http? In that case you need to enter that in the 46xxsettings.txt

I think the big thing was that dns had to be configured on the IPO itself. I have it all working on my 9621g.

There is also an option called DNSSRVR in 46xxsettings.txt. I don't think the phone gets it's DNS servers from DHCP since it is even not configurable in the phone menu manually.

Yes, use the SET DNSSRVR option, and change these stats in your SETTINGS9641 in 46xxsettings:

SET WEATHERAPP "default"
SET WORLDCLOCKAPP "default"
SET CALCSTAT 1
SET WMLHELPSTAT 1

Though, my world clock does not seem to work lately. The url to obtain the time may have changed somewhere out in the interwebs and broke it. It used to work.

FYI, there is a setting in the 46xx file called AMADMIN, which should point to your file server. It will look for a file called AvayaMenuAdmin.txt which can be found on support.avaya.com (at least it was...)
In this file you have to configure some of the icons.

One of the ones you can set is weather:

AMTYPE01=1
AMLBL01=Weather
AMDATA01=

DNS is configured in IPO, also in 46xxsettings.txt

AMADMIN is point to IPO thats right? AvayaMenuAdmin.txt is in Primary Folder.

where do i get the Weather informations? with the standart settings? Or do I need an own link with .xml ?
