Dear Members,

I have a question. I have a Avaya 9641 Model phones, in those while making calls I have to select a contact from the screen n press call button.(This issue happing in my friends new company)

Normally when I select any contacts say from missed call.. I tap on the contacts, the calling begins and I don't have to separately press the call button after selection. (this is how it works in my company).

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

(Even though I manage my IPT infra at my current office, I m not an expert)

Thanks

Hard to say....You could both be using different versions of firmware for the handset, one of you could be H323 the other SIP, One could be using IP Office, the other could be using CM/Aura?

Thanks, Tim

HI Tim,

Thanks for the response.

Yes, Firmware and the protocol needs to be checked.

I am using Aura/CM(H323) and the problematic side is using IP Office.

If that’s the case, then I would say it’s working as designed…Sorry.

IP Office functions different to CM/Aura, even if both phones have the same firmware and are both on mode H.323. It’s not really comparing Apples with Apples. There will be some small differences.

Hopefully someone on here may come up with a workaround.

Thanks, Tim
