I have a problem with crackle on digital sets and with modems on analouge lines not syncing up can anyone advise.

have you verified it isn't a wiring issue?

Is all firmware up to date?

Is synchronization set up on the switch, try
status synch
Make sure it is synched to a ds1 board, preferrably a PRI
