Our phone system during business hours goes to a hunt group called CSR. Until recently the called would hear a ring upon dial 0 to reach that group. No the user dials 0 and the phone rings the CSR group, but there is dead air.

We never configured the telephony to play hold music, but the phone use to ring.

So what are the settings on the CSR huntgroups Announcement tab?

The box is not checked "Announcement On." I am assuming that checking this box will fix the problem?

If it's not checked you should hear ringback.

Are the caller and the IPO on the same subnet, sounds like it could be an network issue?
I'm guessing that when a groupmember picks up the call they can hear each other?

No. These are outside calls. The phone will ring outside of business hours.

Is it an embedded voicemail auto attendant picking up the call first?
if so the someone may have played with the option 0 in the auto attendant.
There is transfer and normal transfer while one plays ringing the other plays MoH

Fixed. Changed from "normal transfer" to "transfer." The system now rings when transferring.

Thanks Joe! I read your post after making the transfer change. I was having trouble finding the right version to make changes, but was able to download the IP Office Light for free. I am not sure if you can make changes with version 9.0.0 and a config 9.0.5, but I downloaded 9.1 light.

You can make the change but it is not recommended.

Never worked with the light version but apparently it works.

Of course I should have figured out that they dialed 0 from embedded attendant, so obvious
