Hi we are being asked to move to Win 2008 servers for our file servers from Win 2003 servers where we used MY IPTEL MGR. I have been able to get 96XX and 96X1 phones to use the 2008 server but not the 46XX phones. All the 46XX phones come up with an http 404 error and when you look at the network information on the phone under file server there are zeros. What am I missing? below are our scope strings

DATA - MCIPADD=10.50.248.80,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.51.136.41,L2QVLAN=302
VOICE - MCIPADD=10.50.248.80,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=10.51.136.41,HTTPPORT=80

probably iis incompatibility.....think about utility server ... or apache .... or using iviptel again.... my advice personally i like utility server

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

Also I don't think this is IIS issue since your phones do not have an HTTPSVR from DHCP so they are not getting to the file server anyway. 46xx's use option 176 and depending on vintage use either tftp or http. From your post it appears yours use HTTP, some of ours do as well however in the 176 option it's still called TFTPSVR go figure.

Try changing the HTTPSVR to TFTPSVR and see if that does anything.

From the manual:

Code:
A 4600 Series IP Telephone-specific DHCP option specifying information, such as
TFTP server and DEFINITY® CLAN IP addresses. Use the site-specific option
(SSON) at #176. The value for this option should be set to either of the following
strings:
MCIPADD=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,MCPORT=yyyy,TFTPSRVR=zzz.zzz.zzz.zzz,TFTPDIR=<
path>

tried changing http to tftp and that did not work either
