We are trying to determine the best route for our client to go with respect to wireless phones on a new IP office 500v2 install for the customer's office staff. Does anyone think the D160 is comparable to the 3920 (pros and cons are welcome)? Thanks.

The 39xx phones are far superior. They are a wireless system that can cover a large area with many phones sharing all bases. They are easier to use and integrate better.

The D100/160 is a single base system that you can add repeaters to. It can get messy if many wireless phones or large coverage area is needed. Using the phone beyond making/answering calls is not fun. Simply transferring a call is I think 4 button presses.

If cost is not an issue, go with 3920's.

Thanks for the quick response. Would you recommend using the 3920 with the IP Office 500v2 or with a Partner ACS 8?

D160's work ok. As long as you don't drop them. You can put 8 on one base and have repeaters off that. Up to 6 repeaters. They are inexpensive. The phones require essential edition, IP Endpoints, and obviously a VCM resource of some type. Coverage on the D100 base should be about the same as the 3920 base. The D100 is POE, so if you go that route make sure you have POE or a injector.
