Avaya 3910

I went on a service call to hook up a Avaya 3910 cordless telephone up to a merlin magix. In the book that came with the phone, it said that the magix looks at it like a transtalk. So, I connected it to a port on the 412TDL card.

When you pressed the talk key, it said aquiring link. But would never link. I tried a transtalk on the same port and it works fine. What's wrong here? I think it's just bad phone out of the box?

I believe you will need to install an 016 ETR board if you want to use the 3910 with the Magix.

Here is what Metroline Direct listing for the 3910 on their website:

It says that the 3910 needs to be connected to a 016 ETR module.
