We have had the same issue a bunch of times to the point I reached out to Avaya. They were unable to help, uploading new firmware to our G3r did not solve the issue either. Basically you have to replace the phone. The techs where I work seem to think that a bad connection to the switch is what causes this. If anyone has any idea on how to reflash the 2400 series phone not via the switch that would be very helpful. But as of now, the only way to resolve this issue would be to replace the phone with a new or otherwise working phone.
