I have AVAYA AURA CM 6.03 with AUDIX VM system.

Here's my conundrum :)

A user has a message lamp lit on their 2420.
They have no messages.
I deleted their VM box.
They still have a message light.
I go to remove their extension, and cannot due to: "Messages waiting; please delete messages first."
I export the station, TTI . . . still a message light.
I replace the phone... still a lit light.
I swap the extension to another port. . . still lit .....
I swap the extension with another extension ... still there

I have gone through all stations on the CM to see if there was an accidental association with another extension to his message lamp # .... NOPE

Any ideas?

clear amw all 1234 would clear the lamp of extension 1234

Wow... how simple . . . and I really over-thought that one!
Thank you!
Any reason that would happen when nothing was changed with the user for 11 months?

Could have been accidentally added as an "additional extension" in voicemail and its light lit that way.

There's also a feature code for "leave word calling" to light the lamp as well. Preferred method of turning lamps on and off for 3rd party analog integrated voicemails. If anybody ever dialed that feature code and the extension by accident, that would explain it.
