Avaya 2420 call no ring 1

I am searching for a feature or procedure to enable a user to to call another user without the call receiver's 2420 set ringing. Please advise........

If you trying to just go to coverage path with out ringing the phone you can add a goto-cover button to the callers phone. The user dials the extension and then hits the goto cover button there is a slight ring but then you get coverage? Hope this helps or put some more information as what you are trying to accomplish and it will be eaiser to answer.

the user wants to be able to dial an internal extension and have the call be processed without ringing on the call receiver's end. I am aware of the coverage path option, is that the only solution?

You can create a separate VDN they can dial, the new unique VDN can point to a vector with one step:

1) messaging skill xx for extension yyyyy

Set up an auto attendant to dial by extension. Then set up a vdn to that auto attendant. You record a message that says to dial your parties extension.

So then when you dial the auto attendants extension it asks for the party you want. You then dial the extension and it goes to vm.
