Had a problem with 5 phones where they were updated with bad flash and now they all have the same address.
The correct MAC is on the label on the phone, is there a way of programming the correct MAC back onto the phones without having to send them back ?
It would seem its a simple enough change to be made

Use them as a press-papier now.

I don't think Avaya will fix them under waranty, since this is a very old and well known issue.

But I could be wrong...

What you need to do is to update the firmware you're using for the phones.
The question is which firmware did they load, do you have the downgrade issue or the one on 1.3.6?

Check the following

16xx: IP phones shows incorrect MAC address at the endk

Downgrade of 16xx H.323 phones to firmware 1.3.2 from 1.3.3 or 1.3.4B results in duplicate/default MAC and Serial Number
