Avaya 1608 w/ unknown PROCPSWD 1

We have some used Avaya 1608 phones.

We run static IPs on our phones and when we hit * to program the IP address it shows PROCPSWD. I've tried entering 9999 and 27238 and nothing but it continues to reboot. How do I reset the PROCPSWD password if it isn't connected to my IP office?

You have to watch carefully from where the phone tries to get it's 46xxsettings.txt from.

Provide a http server and put a 46xxsettings.txt on it with option PROCPWD set to the one you like.

For FW 1.350 you need to enter PROCPSWD "craft" (I'm not sure, but i think this password beginning from version 1.340B ... very bad version ).

From the default 46xxsettings.txt file on support.avaya.com under PROCPSWD:
## 16xx H.323 R1.0 and later (default is null ("") prior to R1.3.3, and
## must contain at least 4 digits for R1.3.3 and later)
