Group,
I have a user who has an error in her autotext entry. I delete the autotext entry, then I try to access it, and I can't. So I recreate the autotext entry with the same name, and now when I access the corrected autotext entry, it brings back the old autotext with the errors. I know autotext entries are stored in the normal.dot - but is there any way that I can permanently delete this bad autotext, without deleting normal.dot - I have too many macros and autotext created in this normal.
It is important that the name stays the same for this autotext.

xlhelp:
I'm familiar with the PDF plugin as it has caused me issues in the past, although this particular pc does not have that plugin. I have never seen autotext perform like this, it's as if the autotext entry that I'm working with is "cached" somewhere, and it continues to bring back the old autotext, not the autotext with current revisions.

It does sound like Normal.dot isn't being saved and Acrobat 7 does cause that to happen (or not happen, I suppose). You must uninstall or disable the Acrobat 7 Add-In.

Regardless of the cause, try saving Normal.dot explicitly - easiest way to do it quickly is to hold down Shift while clicking on File and then selecting Save All - and see if that works.

Enjoy,
Tony

Problem solved!
Unknown to the user, she was updating an "old" template on a network drive. The OLD network template was named the same as the template on her pc, and it was listed in her "recent documents" , so when she selected that template to open and modify, she was actually modifying the network template - not her pc template.
Thanks for everyone's thoughts on this!
